Veterans Day, 2009, was a real eye opener for me. I visited the Dallas/Fort Worth International Cemetery on a cold morning to capture some photos. What I didn’t expect was the flood of emotions that followed. I began to think about all the freedoms we have in our country – freedoms that we take for granted at times. The cost of freedom is far more than what we could ever pay, yet we have men and women who pay the ultimate price every day. This day I once again pay my respects to the men and women who serve our country with their bravery, honor, and with their lives.

The waiting and anticipation is over. We released our new portfolio website to the public today. We are so excited about this release as it is truly a showcase of our work. From the first opening of the website, you’ll know this is serious! The website features just about all the clients we have had the pleasure to work with. The photos are high-resolution and they fill most of the screen, giving you a better sense of the quality of our photographs. You’ll notice more photos throughout our portfolio broken into three categories: Weddings, Love & Life.

We would like to send a big, I mean huge THANK YOU to all of you who have been clients and have now become friends, those of you who have endured our cameras in your faces all the time, our friends, family and supporters. The past year we’ve been truly blessed – the year was full of weddings, portraits, surprises, unexpected friendships, new equipment and professional growth. We met some truly amazing people this year and had such a great time capturing memories and getting to know each and every one of you. It always excites us when a client turns into a friend… and we made quite a handful of new friends this past year.

A big “Thank You” to all our former and present clients. You guys invited us into your lives to capture some very special, tender, unforgettable moments. We will never forget any of you guys. A big “Wooo Hooo” to all our future clients – 2011 is already shaping up to be a great year, and we are excited to begin working with all our new couples, new families and new friends. Every year…or most years, we have our traditional Thanksgiving dinner at Lone Star Camp in Athens, Texas. There are quite a few kids who love being in front of the camera, so we thought we would have a little fun. If you are expecting photos of the food, deserts or photos of Angela & Chris, you will be a little disappointed. However, there are some very cute photos for your viewing pleasure. Jessica contacted Lucky Pro Photography in an effort to provide their parents with a very memorable gift this holiday season. We did a multi-location session which included the Fort Worth Stockyards, Water Gardens and Downtown. We took the portraits from the session and created a Signature Lucky Pro Photo Journal for them to give to their parents.

Angela and I had an awesome time with the J’s – they were so much fun and were open to all our fun and silly ideas. Happy Holidays Jarred, Jessica and Justin.
