This has been an exciting year for a number of reason. 1.) We saved 15% by switching to from Geico, 2.) We discovered the joy of Pretzel M&M’s, and 3.) We made some awesome changes to our wedding collections and upgraded our product line. Luxury Photo Journal

There’s so much you can do with this photo journal, and the custom photo wrap canvas cover is definitely a hit amongst our clients. This luxury photo journal comes standard with a heavy hinged semi-gloss paper, which allows the pages to lay flat for a more upscale look and feel. You’ve gotta see this in person to really appreciate the beauty of it.

Book-Bound Photo Journals & Guestbooks

Specs: 12in x 12in, Up to 80 Pages in Photo Journal, Up to 40 Pages in Guestbook, Linen or Photo Wrap Cover, # of Photographs Varies
The type of paper used for these books is light than our luxury line, which allows for us to add significantly more a pages. These book’s pages can either be printed with a matte or lustre finish, depending on your taste. The book-bound photo journal has been our most popular wedding product  over the years because it allows you to tell almost a complete story through photographs.

Lucky Pro Natural – This has been our signature technique for quite some time and it has evolved on it’s own to reflect our style and preferences of our clients. This version was applied a little more subtle than normal, simply because the photo did not require much editing.

Strong Black & White – This technique really enhances attitude of this photo. The contrast is kicking, the tones are well even and the whole thing just screams “hang me on the wall!”

The waiting and anticipation is over. We released our new portfolio website to the public today. We are so excited about this release as it is truly a showcase of our work. From the first opening of the website, you’ll know this is serious! The website features just about all the clients we have had the pleasure to work with. This book has been in the making for quite some time and has been through a number of revisions to get it just right for our liking… and here it is! Our second published book, but the first volume in the series of Wedding Collections. This book contains photos from eleven different weddings. We are so excited to begin using this book for consultations and just plain “showing off”. We cannot thank our clients enough for trusting us to capture their special day and for allowing us to become a part of their lives. We love you guys from the bottom of our hearts and are so blessed to have met each an every one of you. FYI… Volume II is already in the works and should be published next summer!

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since our last B&A post… sorry guys, but as you can tell from the numerous posts over the past month, we’ve been very busy. So this post features one of my all time favorite photographs from an amazing couple, Rosie & Henry. Check out the post processing!

Lucky Pro Natural – The initial version of this photograph was slightly over-exposed and the power lines in the upper right corner were distracting, but the passion in faces made it a keeper. Once we scaled back the brightness levels, we softened the entire photo with very light air brush. That’s it!

Black & White – This is not your parent’s B&W preset, but a new age, hip preset we will be using from time to time. We’ve really kicked up the darks and amped up the contrast a bit with this one. It has added an almost dreamy perspective to the photograph. Look for this preset to be used from time to time.

Welcome to edition #13 of before and after post processing. Remember Chelsea & Jeremy? This couple totally rocked their wedding day so it’s only fitting to show you how we rocked their photos in post processing. We didn’t have to do much with this photogenic couple so let’s dive right in!!!

Dramatic – I remember looking at this photograph on my camera’s LCD and instantly getting an idea of how I would enhance. The brick wall, the embrace, the passionate kiss… I knew this photos deserved a more dramatic appeal. Using a custom developed brush, I touched up all the bricks with less exposure and more than double the contrast. Our natural effect was used for their skin tone, and now this photograph belongs in a magazine!

Lighting Correction – The church at which the ceremony was held was very typical with candescent lighting which produces a not so desirable orange tone in photographs. This fault tends to dull photographs and ruin the overall mood presented. In post processing we use a couple of techniques to correct this. First we adjust the overall temperature setting for the image then we carefully desaturate the orange tones until we get it just perfect. Results are as shown!

Welcome to another week of Before & After with Lucky Pro Photography. This week’s article features two our of favorite little girls, or should I say young ladies. There session held in our studio against a plain white backdrop. The photographs captured were good, but there was something hidden in them that was not quite revealing itself. Now convert them to black & white and see what happens.

Black & White Conversion – We began the conversion with a complete desaturation of all colors, also known as grayscaling. The overall exposure was adjusted to our liking and then we topped it off with a whole lot of contrast, being careful not to wash away the facial details. After converting these photos you can see a totally different depth, the photos have a new attitude and overall just look much better. In my personal and professional opinion, the photographs now scream “Classic!!!”
