This Weeks Lesson Basic & Cinematic Lighting Techniques

Playtime is over for Mr. Junior Photographer and it’s time to start learning some sweet lighting techniques. We have quite a few off-camera flash units and decided it was time we actually start using some of this equipment before it becomes…ancient. Our goal was to produce a cinematic lighting effect using a remote to fire the flash unit. Crosby decided to be the subject for this session and we ended up with some very nice photographs to share.

Eat, Take Pictures, Eat Some More, Take Pictures……..

Every year…or most years, we have our traditional Thanksgiving dinner at Lone Star Camp in Athens, Texas. There are quite a few kids who love being in front of the camera, so we thought we would have a little fun. If you are expecting photos of the food, deserts or photos of Angela & Chris, you will be a little disappointed. However, there are some very cute photos for your viewing pleasure. All Because Two People Fell In Love….

Meet Terry and Danna Mayhall and see what happens on account of two people falling in love…. We met up with them, their children and their grandchildren at the Athens Arboretum to capture some family love in action. They are all just as outgoing and silly as each other and a ton of fun to be around. We had a great time with all of you!!

It’s Always Interesting When Two Cameras Encounter A Bunch of Kids…..

We recently had the pleasure to take some family portraits with a wonderful group of people. Meet Oothuppan and Aleyamma Samuel, Varghese and Saramma Varghese, Freddie and Elizabeth George, Stephen and Susan Pappachen & Finny and Sara Varghese – and all their children. We had such an amazing time with this family…they are truly genuine, nice, kind, fun and loving people. All the kids were amazing during this session…they were like little professionals with their natural poses and facial expressions.

All you guys are definitely amongst our favorite people and it has been our pleasure thus far in our dealings. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the photos we captured…til next time!
